New Testament
This online bible study is separated into 7 sets of books. The first set starts with 2 Peter, but from there you can choose to study any book within that set in no particular order. Revelation along with the Tabernacle are reserved as Transitional Books to be studied before starting the Old Testament.
Set One
2 Peter
In this letter Peter wishes to encourage his readers to take hold of the gospel message and follow the example of Christ. This is done by nurturing godly characteristics and holding fast to the promises God has made of eternal life.
3 Chapters
Ephesians
Paul is talking to a spiritually faithful church. He spends a good deal of time discussing the mystery of Christ revealed to him that he is sharing with the Ephesians. This comes with words of encouragement for the spiritual battle.
6 Chapters
Galatians
Paul addresses his concern that the Galatians have been persuaded to move backward in their faith. He wants them to remain in the liberty of grace rather than living by the bondage of the law.

James
James gives a wide range of examples of how faith or lack thereof is demonstrated by actions and interactions with others. He highlights many common behaviors that are ungodly and encourages his readers to be humble before God and put faith in action.

Set Two
Matthew
The book of Matthew is an account of Jesus’ life and ministry as told by one of his disciples, Matthew, who wrote primarily to a Jewish audience.

1Corinthians
Paul writes his first letter in response to several issues that were plaguing the Corinthian church with practical advice and spiritual guidance related to each of the issues he addresses.

1 Peter
Being submissive is often considered a weakness, but in this letter Peter explains the godliness of submission to authority and the subtlety of the witness it gives to ungodly authorities.

1 Timothy
Paul has left Timothy, a young minister, in Ephesus to oversee some problems that had arisen in that church because of false teachers that were trying to draw believers away from the truth of the gospel.

Set Three
Luke
The book of Luke is an account of Jesus’ life and ministry as told by Paul’s travel companion and fellow minister, Luke, written to a gentile audience.

Colossians
The Colossians had a well grounded faith that Paul commends, but he also provides spiritual instructions about how to continue in faith and keep their true faith protected.

Jude
Jude writes to believers to warn them about false teachers who have crept into the church to subvert the faith of the believers.

1 John
John’s first epistle is often called the love letter because it focuses almost entirely on the cause and effect of God’s love to and through believers in contrast to the unrighteousness of the world.

Set Four
Mark
The book of Mark is a gospel account of Jesus’ ministry written by John Mark who accompanied Peter during his missionary journeys. It is the shortest account and is sometimes considered a cliff notes version of Jesus’ ministry.

Paul is writing to the Thessalonians to encourage them to remain strong in faith despite the persecutions they face.

Titus
Paul writes to Titus a young minister he left in Crete to help him straighten out issues with the church leadership and instruct the congregation about godly conduct.

John

2 Corinthians
Paul writes his second letter to the Corinthians to prepare them for his upcoming visit so that they can set things in good spiritual order before he arrives so that he doesn’t have to be harsh with them when he is with them.

2 Thessalonians
Paul writes to the Thessalonians again to encourage them to remain faithful even though their persecutions have gotten worse. He also answers their questions about what happens in the day of the Lord.
3 Chapters
Philemon
Paul takes up the cause of Onesimus, a runaway slave from Philemon, who came to Paul and had been converted. He writes to Philemon to ask him to receive him back not just as a slave but as a brother and fellow laborer in the faith.

Set Six
Acts
Often called Acts of the Apostles, it highlights some of the ministries of the apostles after the ascension of Jesus, written by Luke, Paul’s ministry companion.

2 John
John writes a short letter to the elect lady, a church he will soon visit, to encourage them to follow the commandments and reject deceivers that tried to creep into their church.

2 Timothy
Timothy faces the same persecutions for preaching the gospel that Paul faced, but Paul encourages him to remember the roots of his faith and the work that God has set before him to complete so that he will continue to be a faithful minister.

Hebrews
The book of Hebrews is written by an unknown author to Jewish christians. It acts as a bridge between the purpose and value of the law and living by faith under grace brought to mankind by the work of Jesus.
