Titus

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. - Tit.3:5

Chapter 1

Paul first explains Titus’ purpose in Crete is to set things in order and ordain elders. He goes on to describe well chosen church leaders according to godly characteristics who are not given to following Jewish fables and commandments of men.

Chapter 2

Paul instructs Titus to exhort sound doctrine and gives specific instructions about godliness to older men and women, children, young women, young men and servants in their circumstances.

Paul finishes his letter by reminding Titus that living godly in this world is possible by God’s mercy and the grace brought by Jesus Christ.
