About

Is the seed still in the barn? Yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, have not brought forth. From this day I will bless you. – Haggai 2:19

Word & Spirit

To state the obvious, God is a complex being. Our understanding of him is limited in large part to our physical world and our experiences. In order to understand what God is like, we can look at the physical universe that he has created as a physical representation of the spiritual world and God himself. By learning the keys God has tucked into the Bible, we get a glimpse into our Creator and the spiritual world in which he exists. These insights come through explanations, metaphors, types and shadows given to us in the Bible.

The Bible is not just a collection of stories and moral instructions. In total, the whole of the scriptures is like a mosaic that explains the many facets of God and his creation. It is a spiritual textbook, steeped in stories of faith and failure, that give us insight into God’s nature and purpose, his intent for mankind and how we fit into his plan. It is a book of wisdom that has improved the lives of individuals throughout the ages. It helps us see not just our shortcomings, but the ways we can repair our lives, overcome those shortcomings and become the person that is pleasing to us and pleasing to God.

The Bible can be studied in many ways and the scriptures can be applied to our lives through multiple layers of understanding. The study method presented on this website is intended to teach the Bible with a spiritual understanding, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, line by line in bite sized amounts. It is designed to dig beneath the surface to discern the spiritual understanding of each passage and allow scripture to interpret itself. It reveals a deeper understanding of all things spiritual and answers many of the lifelong questions with which each of us has wrestled or wondered about.

There is no obligation to get started and no cost to study. This is a self paced study plan, so feel free to try it out and stay with it as long as you like. The more you study the more the overall picture will become clear. If you have questions, feel free to post them and we will answer them as best we can.
