Chapter 1
The prophecy of the birth of John the Baptist to Zacharias, Mary is visited by the angel, Mary’s song, the birth of John.
Chapter 2
The taxation decree from Caesar Augustus, the birth of Jesus, the visit by the shepherds, Jesus brought to the temple for circumcision, Simeon’s song, Anna’s thanksgiving, Jesus at 12 in the temple questioning the religious leaders.
Chapter 3
John the Baptist preaching and baptizing in the wilderness, then baptizing Jesus, the genealogy of Jesus from Joseph back to Adam.
Chapter 4
Jesus' temptation by the devil in the wilderness, beginning of his ministry in the Nazareth synagogue, the people try to kill him, casting out the spirit from the man in the Capernaum temple, the healing of Peter’s mother-in-law.
Chapter 5
The calling of Peter, James and John, healing the leper, healing the man with palsy lowered through the roof, calling of Matthew, the parables of new garments and new wine.
Chapter 6
Disciples plucking corn to eat on the sabbath, healing of the man with the withered hand, choosing of the twelve apostles, healing of the multitudes, sermon on the mount – beatitudes and bringing the law to a spiritual application, mote and beam, good tree produces good fruit, house on a rock.
Chapter 7
Healing the centurion’s servant, the widow’s son resurrected, John the baptist sends his disciples to Jesus to verify that he is the messiah, Jesus speaks of John’s ministry and his own, the woman anoints Jesus’ feet, the parable of the debtors.
Chapter 8
Mary Magdalene becomes a follower, sower and the seed, let your light shine, Jesus calms the storm, healing of the man in the tombs, Jairus’ daughter resurrected, woman with the issue of blood.
Chapter 9
Jesus sends out the twelve disciples to preach, feeding of the 5000, Peter’s confession of Jesus as the christ, mount of transfiguration, the possessed boy the disciples couldn’t heal, fire from heaven.
Chapter 10
Jesus appoints the 70 to preach, a certain lawyer asks how to inherit eternal life, the good Samaritan, Mary and Martha.
Chapter 11
The lord’s prayer, the parable of the friend at midnight, binding a strong man’s house, man empty swept and garnished, generation seeking a sign, dinner with the pharisee, woes to the scribes and pharisees.
Chapter 12
All hidden things shall be revealed, God remembers the sparrows, being brought before the magistrates, Jesus doesn’t judge man’s disputes, parables of the barns, seek first the kingdom of God, thief in the night, faithful vs cruel steward, divisions caused by Jesus’ message, discerning the time.
Chapter 13
The tower of Siloam, the parable of the fig tree, woman with a spirit of infirmity, healing on the sabbath, parables of the great tree and leaven, the straight gate, knocking at night, desolation of Jerusalem.
Chapter 14
Healing on the sabbath, the parable of the seat at the wedding feast, bless those who cannot repay, the parable of the supper, bear the cross to follow Jesus, counting the cost.
Chapter 15
The parable of the lost sheep, the lost coin, the prodigal son.
Chapter 16
The parable of the unjust steward, Lazarus and the rich man.
Chapter 17
Forgiving those who sin against us, the servant's duty, ten lepers healed, the coming of the son of man.
Chapter 18
The parable of the unjust judge, prayers of the pharisee and the publican, Jesus receives the children, the rich young ruler, Jesus foretells his death and resurrection, the blind beggar.
Chapter 19
Zacchaeus, the parable of the austere nobleman, Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus foretells of the destruction of Jerusalem and casts out the moneychangers.
Chapter 20
Religious leaders question Jesus about John the Baptist, the parable of the vineyard, chief priests and scribes seek to kill Jesus, tribute to Caesar, Sadducees and the resurrection, Jesus questions how the christ is David’s son.
Chapter 21
The widow’s mite, prophecy of the destruction of the temple, signs of the end of the world, the coming of christ.
Chapter 22
Preparations for Passover, the Passover meal, Jesus prophesies Peter’s denial, prayer in the garden, Jesus’ arrest, Peter’s denials, Jesus before the council.
Chapter 23
Jesus before Pilate then before Herod and back to Pilate, the people choose Barabbas to be released instead of Jesus, Simon of Cyrene carries Jesus’ cross, the crucifixion, Jesus’ body given to Joseph of Arimathaea to be buried.
Chapter 24
Mary Magdalene, Joanna and Mary come to the empty tomb, the women tell the disciples, Peter runs to the tomb, two disciples on the road to Emmaus, Jesus appears among the disciples, his ascension.
